Here we go again...UPDATED

...with another prayer request. I hate to drop this on you without a lot of details, but this is all we have and we need prayers...again! Agape's plane took off this morning for its weekly run to the island. As they were coming into the area of the Bahamas, the right engine blew out. Pilots Steve Koch and Jeff Yannucciello were able to guide in the fully loaded plane and make a safe landing. PRAISE THE LORD!! We are again reminded of how precious life is, and how we are not to squander even a minute of it. We are also reminded of God's perfect plans for our lives. Agape ran a single engine airplane until the crash in December 2007, which spared both pilot's lives, miraculously. As a result, Agape insisted on a double engine plane when a replacement was purchased and had to wait a full year for the plane to be found, rebuilt, painted and declared ready for missions work. Because of this single decision, 2 pilots and all the cargo are safely on the ground in the Bahamas! His grace and mercy are incomprehensible. Please pray that the engine can be repaired in a timely manner. I have no idea about the facilities where they are. They did not make their landing at the usual airport being an unscheduled landing and all, so they are at the mercy of the local government and agencies. Agape is mobilizing all available resources and could possibly fly in the mechanics and parts needed on another airplane. We will keep you posted and we greatly appreciate your prayers for all that is going on right now. You can imagine everyone is scrambling. The pilots have families that will miss them and Jeff has a 3 year old and an infant at home whose mama is probably in need of prayers and reassurance! In spite of this, we are praising Him for His plan and willing to be used however He asks us.

Camden, don't worry, Birdie is safe too! He will have an AMAZING story to tell you of his first mission trip!

We can't thank you enough for coming alongside of us in our ministry. We can't thank you enough for the prayers you offer up for us so faithfully too. We will try to keep you updated as we know more about what happened and how the repairs are going to be done and the timing of all of it.

**Update: The pilots were able to land the plane at an airport in North Eluthra where they knew someone with a plane (Dave Spangler), so that airplane will be used to take the cargo to its destinations in 2 separate trips. One was completed today to Haiti and tomorrow, the Dominicaln Republic cargo will be delivered. He is good!

Prayers are ongoing for you and all of Agape. Thanks be to God for the safe landing for both pilots in the Bahamas. Also, that the protection continues with future trips and swift engine repair. So much need of prayer for many. God wants us to come to Him in everything at all times. Prayers are also ongoing for Tim Davis and family for a complete recovery. Our prayers are also for both of you and your family in being so far away from family and loving friends. We are privileged to pray to the one and only true God.

Love and hugs,
G. & G. P.

I'm so grateful that everyone, and everything, is okay. We'll be praying for the details to work out.

Oh my, I am so glad the pilots are safe, and the cargo too. What a whirlwind this all is ... if nothing gets done with Birdie that is okay, I hope everything that needs to be done on Agapes end gets done, do not worry about C's class project. We will continue to lift all of you up in prayer. Take care. And keep us up to date if possible on the plane, and again if the bear is late that is fine ... whatever needs to be done let it be! Thanks. -b

I am so thankful everyone is fine and even the plane is fine. Praying the repairs are fast and I'm excited to hear about what kind of neat things God did during the layover in an unscheduled place - I'm sure he had a plan for using this inconvenience for the good of those who love him :)

I was nervous just reading about it. Wow. Satan must really want this ministry to be stopped. We must keep praying that whatever God has in store will come to pass! So glad to hear that Jeff is safe; I don't think I met the other pilot--yet! You are in my prayers.

No Way!! I randomly came upon your blogsite from seeing a comment on Malone Kids blog. We live in the DR. We moved here last September and plan to be here for at least 4yrs. I'm going to read more on the blog to see who Agape is (my bro-in-law works for a missionary plane outfit in Nthrn Idaho) and see what work they are doing in the DR. There's no coincidences with our Sovereign God!
