Legacy Dojo Field Trip

Today I got to go on another field trip with Holden's class. Alayna tagged along again too. They went just down the street from our house to the Legacy Dojo. They teach traditional mixed martial arts and family fitness. The kids had a BLAST! There was lots of exercise, running, kicking, and hi-yaaa-ing! They were adorable! Here they were jumping to switch their kicking leg:

They learned to punch and kick:And even did an obstacle course:
Lastly they had a belt grabbing competition (I am pretty sure they called it something else). You can see the belt sticking out of the back of Holden's waistband. Each child had one and they had to see who could grab and remove their opponent's first. Holden got beat in the championship round, but had a blast! They had to shake hands:
Here he is with Garret's belt in a previous round.
The weather is back to IDEAL and it was fun to get out with the kids today! Tom and Glenda Widmer arrive tonight, so it also helped pass the last bit of time that seems to drag when you are looking forward to something for weeks!!

So much fun! I love that Alayna got to go along, too. The perk of having older siblings. Makes up for all of the other stuff that goes along with having older brothers. Ha.
